Well, it was a beautiful day for a hike! We actually never really saw Spooner Lake (t too tired out at the end of the hike to go there), but we were close! Here are some pictures...

Quick News!
Hey, just in case you're interested. The pictures you take on our hikes can be
turned into plates. I just ordered a plate with a picture of a wildflower we saw
yesterday. Here's
the link, in case you want to take a peek.
And, our Tee Shirts are due to arrive next
Tuesday! I'll let you know when they come in and you can come over and pick
yours up (or I'll deliver). Almost all of you have paid now...if you haven't,
I'll hold your shirt hostage until I get the check!
Oh, and we learned yesterday
that we can be Angels. Patty thinks we can be Tessie's Trekking Angels (or
something like that). We can bring gallon jugs of water to trail heads where we
start. The folks who are hiking through can take this water and drink it. It's
not always easy to find water on the trail.
And, one more thing. Previously, it
was only Jane, Suzie and Sam with advanced degrees in using AllTrails.
Yesterday, Liz graduated. She knew where we should have (but didn't) park and
made sure we were on the trail all day. Congrats Liz!

Photos from today's Hike (Martis Peak Trail to Brockway)
We had a great hike today! Patty was our special star of the day...she came with us after a double knee replacement on March 2nd! Everyone did great exept poor Oakley, but he made it too!The views were great. We were very happy to take the trail route that involved mostly walking downhill.
We started out not quite where we were supposed to be (typical, right?), so we took a short hike up to Martis Peak Lookout. We met a super nice guy and great photographer there named Mark who took a great picture of us. Here's a picture of Mark.
I'll put the picture that Mark took of us!
Here are some pictures of the views we saw today (in no particular order, sorry):
There were lots and lots of wildflowers in bloom:
And, here are a few more pictures worth sharing...You'll see Deb with the Snow plant! A political discussion while drinking water, and Clint, who is off to hike the entire TRT now. Oh, and a picture of us actually hiking!I included a screenshot from my Fitbit too! Other people's devices said we only hiked 5.9 miles. The trail was advertised as a 4.6 miler and we'd added about .6 miles to hike up to the start...I guess All Trails isn't always totally right!
Next Week we're going to do Spooner to Marlette. Many of us have done it before and many of us love it. It is not part of the TRT (at least I don't think so) but it'll be fun and gorgeous!
